The land has been cast to war, the people are starving, and hope is in short supply. Men, and women who were once friendly neighbors now lie dead in the streets, and morale has never been lower. The town which was once home is on the brink of ruin, but nevertheless you persevere, but the toll on one's soul can sometimes be a weight to heavy to carry.

You are Anima, a spirit left in despair which summoned you to the realm of Soul Termina. A masked individual by the name of Hasdrubal takes pity on your plight, and aims to return you home, but only once you have undertaken his trial. With the aid of your allies, and closest friends, break away from the pain, and shoot towards the future for hope never dies until the last man remains standing.
